Character Introduction:
Status had changed to a princess, known as Zi Wei Princess or Princess Ruby Lives in the same room as Swallow (Princess Pearl.) Fiancee of Er Kang. Her identity was doubted by the King's mother: the Great Empress due to the false statements made by her uncle and auntie from her hometown, Ji Nan. She was temporary blinded while fleeing to Dali due to a severe brain concussion. And once abducted by a man who sold her to the owner of a restaurant. Fortunately rescued by Er Kang just in time. 

Character Introduction:
Fiancee of Wu A Ge (King's 5th son), potential daughter-in-law of the king. Accidentally found out that she had a brother, named Xiao Jian, and her actual name is "Fang Ci". Creating alot of trouble, she ran away from the palace, losing the blinded Zi Wei during the flee, quarrels with Wu A Ge etc.

Character Introduction:
Ziwei's fiance. Further shows his deep love for Zi Wei when she was renounced by the royalties. Nearly lost his life due to a deep wound caused by the killers sent by the queen, however this was the time when Zi Wei regained her sight.

Character Introduction:
Xiao Yan Zi's fiance. Prepared to give up his royalty status in order to be with Xiao Yan Zi. Risked his own life to rescue Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei with Er Kang when the two girls got their sentence to death. However, still remains loyal to his father, the king.

Character Introduction:
Used to love Er Kang, she was very hurt when she knew that Er Kang broke his promise about marrying her. However, she got to understand the fact that the affection for Er Kang was only based on Zi Wei. Falls in love with Liu Qing during the runaway, got married to him before the gang returns to Beijing.

Character Introduction:
Fell in love with Xiang Fei though she had only Meng Dan in her heart. Got really agitated when he found out that Zi Wei, Xiao Yan Zi, Er Kang and Wu A Ge helps Xiang Fei to get out of the palace in order to elude with her lover. Though his anger was strong, he still dotes on the four very much leading him to fetch them home in the end.

Character Introduction:
Gave birth to the 15th prince. Tries to rescue Zi Wei and Xiao Yan Zi from jail with the Qing princess Pleads mercy for the four when the king wanted to punish them.

Character Introduction:
Framed Zi Wei and Xiao Yan Zi with a voodoo doll and nearly caused Zi Wei to die. Bribed ZiWei's uncle and auntie to give false statements of her identity. Ordered killers to harm the four during their flee. In contrast with her hatred for the four, her son, the 12th prince, however likes the four alot.

Character Introduction:
Encourages the Empress to deal with the four. Loyal to the Empress and the 12th prince, hoping that the 12th prince will get the throne. Nearly got beheaded by the king in the end when he found out about their devious plot against the four. Zi Wei, Xiao Yan Zi, Er Kang and Yong Chi (the 5th prince) however plead mercy for her, till then she turns over a new leaf.

Character Introduction:
Set up a restaurant which becomes the place for Xiao Yan Zi and the gang. Involved in the deprivation of Xiang Fei and helps the two couples to flee during the time when the king found out the truth. Falls in love with Jin Suo during the days of fleeing. Reveals his shyness when expressing his love for Jin Suo.

Character Introduction:
Helps the gang to escape from the Emperor's hunt with Liu Qing and Xiao Jian. Encourages and helps her brother, Liu Qing, to express his love for Jin Suo.

Character Introduction:
A 22 years-old princess from the Hui tribe. Presented by her father to the king in order to make peace between the two parties. She is named as the king's new wife. Possesses natural body fragrance that attracts butterflies. In love with Meng Dan since young. Decides to flee with Meng Dan after the queen had sentenced her to death with poison.

Character Introduction:
The lover of Han Xiang, a warrior of the Hui tribe. Fighted against Han Xiang's father in order to stop her from being presented to the king. Xiao Yan Zi acknowledged him as her martial arts teacher. With the help of the four, disguised as a Priest to meet Han Xiang in the palace. Elude with Han Xiang at last to Dali in Yunan.

Character Introduction:
A gentle, pretty and understanding young lady who used to like Er Kang. However, she gave him up when she saw the love he had for Zi Wei. Helps the two couples alot in times of troubles. Admires Xiao Yan Zi's brother: Xiao Jian's talent and gets to meet him in Xiao Yan Zi and Zi Wei's wedding.

Character Introduction:
Xiao Yan Zi's brother whose real name is Fang Yan. A resourceful and wise man with friends around the world. His talent attracted the four's friendships. A loyal and integrity man with a beneficent heart.

The name Xiao Jian means, a flute and a sword.

Character Introduction:
The mother of the king. A devouted buddhist yet a tough old lady who protects and dotes her son more than anything. Dotes on Qing Er whom had accompany her for years. Tries many ways to break up Er Kang, Zi Wei, Yong Qi and Xiao Yan Zi, however accepting them sincerely in the end.
